“Stone Cold” Steve Austin is undeniably one of the greatest of all time in professional wrestling. Much to everyone’s delight, he showed up at WrestleMania 38, faced off against Kevin Owens, and won the match. But will he be at WM 39, too?

Steve Austin – WrestleMania 39

Fightful’s Sean Sapp reported back in November that WWE believes Austin can compete again. In fact, they put forth an offer to Steve for a match.

Stone Cold has been posting workout videos on Instagram and seems to be in incredible shape. But will that “one more WWE match” take place at WrestleMania 39?

Will Steve Austin Appear At WrestleMania 39

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently notes that Austin will likely be at WM 39. He states that Stone Cold is at the top of the list of legends to appear.

As Meltzer puts it, John Cena is a “probable” when it comes to WrestleMania, while The Rock is a “possible”. Meanwhile, he says that Austin is the “surest” of the three who will attend.

The buzz is that Steve and the WWE are still in talks about a WM 39 match. However, it sounds like the Rattlesnake will play a role of some sort on the Grandest Stage of Them All, next year.

The wrestling world is still reeling by the news that Dragon Lee is WWE-bound. More on this story, below.

Dragon Lee’s WWE Deal

AAA Lucha Libre star Dragon Lee just won the AAA Tag Titles with Dralistico, his brother. However, it sounds like he’ll relinquish the championships and head to Orlando, Florida this January to start in NXT.

According to Dave Meltzer, Lee’s deal was made some weeks ago. Still, the plan had been for FTR to drop the AAA Tag Titles to Dragon and Dralistico, so, Lee was told to keep his WWE news hush-hush until after the match.

Both brothers had a WWE tryout. Unfortunately, only Dragon got a contract.

Tony Khan Throws His Hat Into The Ring

As per Dave, AEW’s Tony Khan heard about Lee’s negotiations with WWE. He threw his hat into the ring and provided an offer of his own to Dragon.

Lee turned to those in his circle and asked which promotion would benefit him better. The general consensus was that the WWE would be a better fit.

The WWE contract offers more money than what he currently earns. However, there is still “room” for financial improvement as well, as Lee is starting off with an NXT “standard” contract.

It was said that NJPW also had an interest in Dragon. However, since the promotion has strong ties with CMLL, which is AAA’s competition in Mexico, offering a deal to a top AAA star would have raised eyebrows.

Lastly, Meltzer notes that AEW and WWE extending deal offers to Lee was a situation similar to Bandido, which occurred earlier in 2022. While the talent ultimately signed with AEW, the WWE did reach out with an offer, too after they saw him on AEW.

It’ll be interesting to see how Dragon Lee fairs in NXT. Only time will tell.
