The radically liberal late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel launched a sexist attack on Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) this week after she dared to oppose a same-sex marriage bill. Kimmel fired back at her by attacking her looks and saying she looks like a lesbian while also telling her to “get over” her religious beliefs.

Kimmel Attacks Hartzler

Hartzler spoke out against The Respect for Marriage Act, which requires states to recognize any marriage made in another state. It also repeals the federal “Defense of Marriage Act” that previously defined marriage as between a man and a woman, according to Business Insider

“So, every Democrat and 39 Republicans voted in favor of the bill,” Kimmel said. “One Republican who voted nay on gay was Vicky Hartzler of Missouri, who gave an impassioned plea warning us that this bill has us headed down the road to damnation.”

Kimmel then played a video in which a visibly emotional Hartzler said, “Well, Mr. Speaker, I’ll tell you my priority. Protect religious liberty. Protect people of faith and protect Americans who believe in the true meaning of marriage. I hope and pray that my colleagues will find the courage to join me in opposing this misguided and this dangerous bill. I yield back.”

Kimmel Doubles Down

That’s when Kimmel attacked Hartzler in the most sexist of ways.

“So wait, that woman’s not a lesbian?” he said. “I mean, her mouth may be saying ‘Unhinged bigot’ but her haircut says ‘meet my partner Bev.’ And that jacket, it’s like, what if –what if–The Fonz was a middle-aged woman living in Palm Springs?’”

Kimmel then displayed Hartzler’s congressional photo, which features her wearing a jacket.

“This– I looked her up,” he continued. “Vicky Hartzler, she loves a pleather jacket. This is her official Congress photo. Which I– didn’t Dustin Hoffman wear this in Tootsie? And what’s on that pin she’s wearing? Can we zoom in on that? Oh my gosh, Well.”

The pin, which was photoshopped, read, “Lilith Fair: A Celebration of Women in Music.”

“Hey listen, we get it Vicky, you grew up in a religious family. Get over it,” Kimmel concluded. “If Jesus was anti-lesbian, he wouldn’t wear sandals, okay.”

Liberal Hypocrisy

Since the only audience that Kimmel has left is as radically liberal as he is, they were quick to eat this nonsense up. If Hartzler were a Democrat, the media would be up in arms over any attack on her that involves her physical appearance. Since she’s a Republican woman, however, sexist attacks on her looks are fair game in the eyes of the left.

Hartzler has been in Congress since 2011, but she will not be returning in 2023, as she lost her recent campaign for an open Senate seat. Kimmel has long been known for his insanely leftwing views, but this attack on Hartzler is low even for him. This all just exposes how hypocritical the left continues to be, as an attack of this kind on a liberal congresswoman would never be tolerated.
