Joy Behar is being blasted by her fellow hosts of the ABC talk show “The View” for being a terrible hostess when she has them stay over at her home.

Behar Called Out For Being Bad Hostess

During Friday’s episode of “The View,” Behar’s co-hosts shared their horror stories of staying over at her home. It all started when co-host Ana Navarro asked guest Sherri Shepherd about attending one of Behar’s play readings at her home over the summer. Shepherd explained that she stayed over at Behar’s house that night as well.

“I was gonna be at a fancy hotel, but Joy said, ‘No, no, no, come stay with me,'” Shepherd recalled, according to The Sun. “You don’t say no to Joy. And I was staying at Joy’s house, and I get up, and first of all, Joy keeps– it’s cold as Antarctica at Joy’s house.”

“It’s healthier!” Behar chimed in to say, with Shepherd sarcastically firing back, “Oh, is that what it is, Joy? Oh, I didn’t know it was that.”

“I’m in bed, and I’m in her grandson’s room, and I’m like, ‘IT’S SO COLD,'” Shepherd continued.

Behar, 80, admitted that all the kids thought it was “too cold,” but Shepherd said that it was worse than that, adding that it was “freezing.”

“And here’s Joy, when you’re a guest at her house, she goes, ‘Hi, here’s your bedroom, we’re going to bed,'” Shepherd said. “And she just leaves you. So I am starving, I go downstairs because I’m hungry. Joy didn’t feed– she don’t feed her guest.”

“Lies! Lies,” Behar said.

Behar’s Co-Hosts Pile On

Shepherd concluded by saying that while she and Behar “talked for hours” during her time at her home, the 80 year-old television personality isn’t good at keeping her guests fed and warm.

Co-hosts Navarro and Sunny Hostin then piled on by saying that they’ve had similar experiences at Behar’s house, saying that she’s left in the middle of conversations to go to bed when they’ve stayed with her. Finally, Behar had enough of the criticisms of her skills at a hostess.

“That’s not true!” she said, before turning to Shepherd to say, “You were there all day, all weekend. There was so much catered food all afternoon.”

“But that wasn’t at night!” Shepherd responded. “That wasn’t at one in the morning.”

Shepherd co-hosted “The View” with Behar from 2007-2014, and she’s now been given her own talk show “Sherri.” Before the talk show premiered last month, she got some advice from Behar.

“Joy Behar said to me, ‘The moment you open up your mouth, half the world is going to hate you,'” Shepherd recounted.

Behar Has ‘No Plans To Retire’

Behar celebrated her 80th birthday last month by saying that she has “no plans” to retire from “The View.”

“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” she told People Magazine. “I have no plans to retire.”

Behar was one of the original hosts of “The View” when it premiered back in 1997, and she co-hosted it until she was fired in 2013. She was then brought back in 2015, and she’s co-hosted the show ever since.

“We still don’t know why they dumped me,” she said of her firing. “They still don’t know why I was sacked? That was very stupid of them. But they learned their lesson.”

Judging from what her co-hosts said, however, it looks like Behar may need to work on her hosting skills behind the scenes at her own home.
