Dolly Parton Drops Bomb – Reveals 3 Celebrities Who Make Her ‘Starstruck’

Dolly Parton may be one of the biggest country music stars in the world, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get starstruck just like the rest of us when meeting certain celebrities! In a recent interview, Parton revealed the three celebrities who she can’t help but get starstruck around.

‘I’ve Been Starstruck A Lot Lately’

“I’ve been starstruck a lot lately,” said Parton, 76, according to People Magazine. “I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but I’m making a rock album. If I’m gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I’m gonna earn it.”

Parton went on to reveal the three celebrities that she gets most excited by. 

“I’m working on a rock album now, and I’ve been talking to Elton John, Mick Jagger and Debbie Harry,” she continued. “Every time I speak to one of them, it’s just such a thrill.”

Parton Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

Parton was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month. 

“I’m a rock star now!” Parton said in her acceptance speech, according to Vulture. “Back when they said they were going to induct me into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I didn’t really think that I’d done enough to deserve that. I didn’t understand it at the time. But this is a very, very special night for me.”

“My husband is a huge rock fan and he’s always said ‘you should do it,’” she added. “But if I’m gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I’m gonna have to earn it.”

During the ceremony, Parton also debuted her new rock song “Rockin’,” which you can check out for yourself in the video below.

Parton Reveals When She Last Got Nostalgic

In her latest interview, Parton also talked about Carl Dean, her husband of 56 years, when she was asked about the last time that she got nostalgic. 

“A few weeks ago I found a picture of my husband and me on our honeymoon in Florida. I had on my little polka-dot bikini,” she said. “I laughed until I cried. You just wish you could go back and relive it all again.”

Though Dean has been married to one of the most famous women in the world since 1966, he’s preferred to stay out of the spotlight and continue living a private life.

“He just don’t have any desire to be in show business,” Parton said of Dean back in 1978, according to US Weekly. “He don’t want to have his picture in the paper. He don’t want to go out to the supermarket and have people say, ‘That’s Dolly Parton’s husband.’”

Dean Praises Parton

Back in 2016, Dean spoke out publicly about his wife with a rare statement about how they met. 

“My first thought was, ‘I’m gonna marry that girl,’” he recalled. “My second thought was, ‘Lord, she’s good-lookin.’ And that was the day my life began. I wouldn’t trade the last 50 years for nothing on this earth.”

Parton and Dean celebrated this landmark anniversary by renewing their vows.

“If I had it to do all over, I’d do it all over again, and we did,” Parton said at the time. “I’m dragging him kicking and screaming into the next 50 years. Wish us luck.”

Despite how famous she is, Parton has remained as down-to-earth as ever, which she showed by saying she gets starstruck by celebrities just as much as any of us do. We love her so much, and we can’t wait to see where her career takes her in the years to come!
