Tony Khan Gives Triple H Props + Dustin Rhodes Retiring?

Since Vince McMahon retired this summer, and Triple H has stepped up to lead creative, WWE has seen some interesting changes in storylines, superstar returns, and programming. AEW’s Tony Khan recently took the time to give HHH some props.

Tony Khan Gives Triple H Props

Khan was recently speaking with Ariel Helwani when he noted that he’s seen some improvements to the WWE brand while under Trips’ leadership. He took the time to acknowledge HHH’s hard work.

As Tony puts it, he’s “always up” for the challenge and he believes there are elements within the WWE that have improved greatly since Triple H has led creative. He also adds that there have been improvements for “us” (AEW) in recent weeks, as well.

Tony Khan & Triple H Are Very Competitive

Khan states that he believes that “we’re” (AEW and WWE) both competitive and have been in the past too. He also says that hopefully, all these improvements are going to be good for everyone.

It certainly is a great time to be a wrestling fan. Between the surprise debuts for both the WWE and AEW, incredible storylines and matches, these are keeping wrestling viewers on the edge of their seats.

Speaking of AEW, Dustin Rhodes joined the company in 2019. Now, as it seems, the superstar is contemplating retirement.

Dustin Rhodes Retiring?

With his jump to AEW, he’s enjoyed some amazing matches. He’s also played a prominent role backstage.

But could he be close to in-ring retirement? A cryptic Twitter post has fans wondering.

While he didn’t come out and say he could be retiring, the post below seems to suggest it. With that said, this isn’t the first time Rhodes has teased retirement.

He did the very same thing in 2019 to help build up a match against his brother Cody, at Double or Nothing. Still, he has no “big match” on the horizon.

Will He Or Won’t He?

Dustin has only wrestled a few matches in 2022. His last match was back in the summer on the August 24th episode of Rampage when he faced Claudio Castagnoli.

Rhodes has had an incredible career that has spanned over three decades. He spent most of his time with the WWE but also worked in WCW, TNA (now Impact), and the indie circuit.

He debuted his Goldust character in 1995, a persona that evolved and shocked fans for over two decades. Goldust truly was a trailblazing gimmick that ended up withstanding the test of time.

Over the years, Rhodes has collected titles across pretty much every company he’s worked for. While with the WWE, he was Intercontinental Champion three times, WWE Tag Champion three times, and score the Hardcore title nine times.

While it would be sad to see Dustin leave in-ring competition, if he’s ready to step away from the squared circle, then it’s time. Whatever he decides to do next, his fans will support him at every turn.
