Brittany Aldean, the wife of country music star Jason Aldean, is standing by her conservative comments on gender after her husband’s publicity firm dropped him over them.
Aldean has been under fire all week for an Instagram post in which she thanked her parents for not encouraging to change her gender during her “tomboy phase.” Check out the post in question below.

In an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night, Brittany stood by her conservative comments.
“I’m advocating for children,” she explained. “I think that children should not be allowed to make these life-changing decisions at such a young age. They are not mature enough; they should have parents who love them and advocate for them regardless.”
She added, “We have ages on everything. We have it for cigarettes, driving, military, voting… yet for some reason people think that we can let a child choose their gender so young? It’s very baffling to me.”
Brittany went on to say that children are “too young to make those decisions,” rightfully describing them as “life-changing.”
“There are so many consequences of doing that as such a young age,” she elaborated. “Society should be able to sit back, speak our minds about it and fight for these children.”

This came hours after the Nashville-based publicity firm The GreenRoom cut ties with Jason over his wife’s comments.
“Music has always been and remains The GreenRoom’s core focus, so we had to make the difficult decision after 17 years to step away from representing Jason,” Tyne Parrish, the co-owner of the firm, told Billboard.
Parrish added, “We aren’t the best people for the gig anymore, but will always be big fans of his music — he is one of the greatest live entertainers in country music.”
Brittany had said earlier in the week that her words were “taken out of context.”
“Per usual, my words have been taken out of context over the last week,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “Instead of getting twisted about the twisting of my words, I’ve chosen to bring some good out of it.”
After receiving initial criticism for her comments, Brittany doubled down on her Instagram Story.
“Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it ‘gender affirming care’ is one of the worst evils,” she wrote in part, according to People Magazine.
“Some parents want to be accepted by society so badly, that they’re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren’t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of those actions,” Brittany added. “Love is protecting your child until they are mature enough as an adult to make their own life decisions.”
Both Brittany and Jason have long been open about their conservative views, and they’re two of the only celebrities who are openly rightwing. They even rang in the new year back in January with the former President Donald Trump, someone they openly supported in the 2020 presidential election over Joe Biden.
We applaud Brittany for continuing to stand by her views, even when the left tries to “cancel” her over them. If only more celebrities would do the same!
