WWE Money in the Bank 2022 saw two briefcases up for grabs for future title shots. Now, it’s time to see the grades each match earned.
Originally, Rhea Ripley was set to take on Bianca Belair. That would see two former stars meet on the main roster.
With Ripley out, Carmella was given the nod and she deserves more credit than fans give her. Belair is a better wrestler, but Carmella showed she can hang.
Clearly, the ending showed us these two will meet at least once more before the feud concludes. For some reason, I thought Bayley would return and that would have helped. Grade: B-
Clearly, Vince McMahon sees Theory as the future of WWE like John Cena and Roman Reigns. Therefore, it makes sense he was given the United States Championship at such a young age.
Bobby Lashley spent a good year destroying everyone and becoming WWE Champion. So, a match with Theory seemed like a downgrade and the entire angle has been weak.
Theory really looked out there and is slowly getting closer to being a main event contender. I figured Alpha Academy or Vince McMahon would assist Theory, but we got a surprise in a new champion. Grade: B
Ronda Rousey and Natalya have a lengthy history. They were friends and enemies, during both of Rousey’s WWE runs.
Natalya never makes for a great heel as her longevity and family history means she is an automatic face. On the other hand, I heard some boos for Rousey.
Since their last match, Rousey has dramatically improved in the ring. No surprise Rousey kept the title and she looked because of a veteran like Natalya. Grade: B
Of the two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, the women’s seemed the most difficult to predict. Honestly, every entrant had a reason to win.
Despite WWE basically depleting the women’s division, they found some hungry superstars. Liv Morgan and Asuka were fun to watch, while Raquel Rodriguez really shined.
There was no one major spot that will have fans searching the internet for the next two days. Although, Morgan deserved the briefcase as she is always improving and earned it.
And less than two hours later, she cashed in on Ronda Rousey to win her first WWE title. And, it was awesome. Grade: A-
Before the match started, I figured Riddle or Drew McIntyre were the clear favorites. Then, everything changed once Theory was added.
WWE used Omos’ size correctly with the other wrestlers, hitting come cool spots thanks to the ladders.
A rather brutal affair with Theory leaving with the briefcase, despite not wrestling much during the match. For such a great match, inserting Theory shows why fans sometimes dislike WWE. Grade: A-
For almost a full year, The Usos have held some form of WWE gold. Nowadays, they walk around with belts from RAW and SmackDown.
When it comes to challengers, The Street Profits are always entertaining. Although, it should be noted how the announce table said The Street Profits are having problems backstage.
Wow, that might have been the best tag team match WWE produced all year. The Usos won, but look for a rematch as the finish was slightly off. Grade: A-
