Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev square off Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night.
The card airs live on ESPN and ESPN+ from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
A former lightweight champion, dos Anjos has returned to 155 pounds after a run at welterweight. He has reeled off back-to-back wins over Renato Moicano and Paul Felder.
At welterweight, dos Anjos tangled with current champion Kamaru Usman and met Colby Covington for the interim belt. Both were defeats, but he went the distance each time.
A win over Kevin Lee came in 2019 before losses to No. 1 contender Leon Edwards and Michael Chiesa. Again, both were decision defeats.
In 2015, dos Anjos won the UFC lightweight title with a decision over Anthony Pettis. He defended it vs. Donald Cerrone before falling to Eddie Alvarez in 2016.
Fiziev has reeled off five consecutive wins, including a recent “Performance of the Night” knockout of Brad Riddell. He also topped Bobby Green, Moicano, Marc Diakiese and Alex White since a loss to Magomed Mustafaev in his debut.
The card also features Caio Borralho taking on Armen Petrosyan, along with Said Nurmagomedov and Douglas Silva.
Jared Vanderaa vs. Chase Sherman, Jamie Pickett vs. Denis Tiuliulin and Michael Johnson vs. Jamie Mullarkey round out the main card.
Antonina Shevchenko and Cortney Casey, along with Cynthia Calvillo vs. Nina Nunes are on the prelims, which air on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
