Amber Heard lost again in a Virginia courtroom. This time, the Aquaman actress was trying to get the judgment in Johnny Depp’s defamation trial thrown out. The judge wasn’t buying it and it appears Heard is out of options. Here’s what we know.

Heard Alleges “Fraudulent” Juror

Amber Heard’s legal team went before the Virginia state judge who heard the initial trial with a claim that since one of the jurors committed fraud the judgment must be thrown out and a new trial ordered.

Heard’s evidence was that a man showed up by mistake to jury duty because he mistakenly received a summons with his same name. The case of mistaken identity was a son going in place of his father. The two shared the same name and since the summons did not include a birth date, it was difficult for the two to know who the summons was for.

The judge dismissed Heard’s argument with a hint of prejudice, suggesting that her legal team only filed the dismissal to avenge the loss. Heard’s team knew of the mistake at the beginning of the trial but chose to accept the juror anyway.

Internet Reacts To Amber Heard

Heard tried to make a clerical error seem nefarious

I knew people were Johnny Depp fans, but I did not understand the Depp* of the fandom until this trial.

Is This It For Amber Heard?

This seemed like a last-ditch effort by Heard and her legal team to get the decision thrown out. And with her insurance company going to court to avoid paying damages, Heard may be in for a lot more trouble.

New York Marine and General Insurance Co. filed a lawsuit seeking to not be forced to cover Heard’s legal fees and the trial.
