The good news is that Big E is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a broken neck, recently. The bad news is that he won’t be competing in that squared circle anytime soon. However, the silver lining for E and his fans is that the WWE has a new role for the superstar.

Big E Has New Role In WWE

SummerSlam is mere weeks away! Once again, the WWE will be conducting tryouts that week for talents interested in working for the promotion.

Recently, Big E spoke to Marc Raimondi of ESPN. He notes during the chat that he’ll be helping the WWE with “talent evaluations” at the tryouts event.

Big E will be working alongside Triple H, in Nashville. The focus of WWE’s recruiting is college athletes who may not have something lined up after they graduate.

Big E & His New WWE Role

E notes that he wished there was an “exit” program for college athletes when he went to school. He states that students spend so much time studying and/or participating in their sport, and when it’s gone, it’s a “distinct drop-off”.

Big E also states it’s hard to prepare for that. It was also challenging for him, mentally, as well.

WWE recently announced that the public can watch the tryouts event at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. For more information on how to purchase tickets, click here to find the press release.

While Lita didn’t break her neck, she did suffer from a neck injury during her career, too. She was off for about a year in the early 2000s but would move on to enjoy a WWE Hall of Fame-worthy career.

At the age of 47, Lita is still a star in the land of women’s wrestling. So much so that she can still be very picky about the offers she gets.

Lita Rejects WOW Offer

Women of Wrestling (WOW) is a female-centric wrestling promotion, that debuted on TV in 2000-01. Sean Sapp recently reported that the promotion made an offer to Lita before their announcement of returning to television, earlier this year.

However, Lita rejected that offer, making it clear she had zero interest in working with WOW. She specifically didn’t like the idea of collaborating with David McClane.

According to Sapp, one WOW source reveals that Lita was very obvious about her feelings when it came to McClane. She “quickly” rejected their proposal.

WOW Pivots From The Original Plan

As per the report, after Lita rejected their overture, WOW quickly “pivoted” from its original plan. Apparently, they first wanted to contact women wrestlers with worldwide TV exposure.

They then decided to build their brand around Tessa Blanchard. Sadly, she was later booted from the company, due to past controversy.

Lita worked with the WWE from 1999 to 2006. During that time, she would become Women’s Champion, four times.

She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. She has since made sporadic returns to the WWE ring.

Most recently, Lita wowed fans when she stepped into the squared circle at the Elimination Chamber event this year, challenging Becky Lynch in Saudi Arabia. While she didn’t end up winning the RAW Women’s title, she certainly proved that she still “has it” in the ring.
