Tom Hanks Loses It When Fan Knocks Over His Wife – ‘Back The F**k Off!’

Yesterday, we reported that concerns were growing over the health of the Hollywood star Tom Hanks after a video surfaced of his right hand seemingly shaking uncontrollably. On Wednesday night, Hanks came unglued on an aggressive fan who nearly knocked over his wife Rita Wilson in New York City.

Hanks Yells At Fan

Daily Mail reported that as Hanks and Wilson left a restaurant last night, a large crowd formed around them, with one fan bumping into Wilson, causing her to stumble. She could be seen shouting “stop it!” and holding up her hands as she tried to get her footing.

After rushing over to see if Wilson was alright, a livid Hanks turned on the crowd and yelled, “my wife? Back the f**k up! Knocking over my wife?!” The couple proceeded to run into a car that was waiting for them.

“Sorry about that, Tom,” one fan could be heard saying sheepishly.

Hanks And Wilsons’s History

Hanks and Wilson met on the set of the ABC sitcom “Bosom Buddies,” and they have been married for 34 years, having two adult sons together. They had attended a screening of Hanks’ new movie Elvis last night before going to the dinner that they were seen leaving in the above video.

This came after a video went viral from an event in Australia that took place earlier this month in which Hanks’ hand shook uncontrollably as he promoted Elvis, which is a biopic of Elvis Presley that was directed by Baz Luhrmann. The video raised concerns among many about the 65-year-old former Forrest Gump star’s health.

Hanks Distances Himself From Philadelphia

Hanks also made headlines earlier this month when he tried to distance himself from the 1993 movie Philadelphia. Though he won his first Oscar for playing a gay man battling HIV in the film, Hanks doesn’t want to be associated with the role now, as it’s not very “woke” for a straight actor to play a gay man these days.

“Could a straight man do what I did in Philadelphia now? No, and rightly so,” Hanks told The New York Times Magazine. “The whole point of Philadelphia was don’t be afraid. One of the reasons people weren’t afraid of that movie is that I was playing a gay man.”

“We’re beyond that now, and I don’t think people would accept the inauthenticity of a straight guy playing a gay guy,” he added. “It’s not a crime, it’s not boohoo, that someone would say we are going to demand more of a movie in the modern realm of authenticity. Do I sound like I’m preaching? I don’t mean to.”

This isn’t so surprising, given the fact that Hanks is an outspoken Democrat who is close friends with Barack and Michelle Obama. However, what is surprising is this latest outburst, as it goes against the “nice guy” persona he’s cultivated for decades. It remains to be seen if there is something seriously wrong with Hanks.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
