Chris Pratt Reveals What His Wife Gave Him A ‘Hall Pass’ To Do

The Hollywood star Chris Pratt of Jurassic World: Dominion fame celebrated his 43rd birthday on Tuesday, and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger gave him a “hall pass” to do one thing before the big day.

‘I Got A Hall Pass’

“The day before [my birthday], I got a hall pass to go golf, which was pretty fun,” Pratt told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday at the premiere of his new Amazon Prime series “Terminal List.”

“Yesterday, I had a very lowkey day,” he added. “I spent it with my daughters and wife, and I cooked some steaks at home. It was pretty fun!”

Pratt and Schwarzenegger are the parents of two daughters, Lyla, 1, and Eloise, who was just born last month. 

“She’s perfect, she’s so gorgeous,” Pratt said of Eloise, according to People Magazine. “She’s so chill, she sleeps a lot during the day. At night, not so much, so I am working on some caffeine fumes right now. But she’s perfect.”

Pratt also shares his 9-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife Anna Paris, and he said that the boy “does a great job as a big brother.”

“There’s a big age separation… [and] he does a great job, he’s so sweet with them,” he continued. “And they love him so much and they miss him when he’s gone.”

Pratt Goes Behind The Camera

Pratt not only stars in “The Terminal List,” he executive produces it as well, making this his first foray behind the camera.

“Twenty years I’ve been in this business and I’ve always been acting, so I show up to do a little rehearsal, to do the fittings, step on the mark and go to work,” Pratt explained. “I kinda failed to recognize how much goes into just getting to that point! And so it was definitely eye opening and a great learning experience.”

“I think if you’re smart and you’re in this business for a long time, you want to find ways to continue to learn and continue to grow and I definitely did both of those things on this job,” he added.

Pratt Loves Being A Father

On the red carpet for the premiere, Pratt talked about celebrating both Father’s Day and his birthday over the weekend. 

“I had a very special week altogether,” he told Extra. “My birthday often falls on Father’s Day so it’s really kind of a summer week to celebrate me… I kept it super low key. We had some meals at home, I got to cook, I cooked a rack of lamb one night and some steaks the next, it was very special.”

Despite his many roles in Hollywood, Pratt has said that his “most important role” is being a father. 

“I was put here to (be a dad),” he told Yahoo News. “It’s the most important role I will ever be cast as.”

Pratt has always seemed like one of the few Hollywood stars whose heart is in the right place. His children certainly are lucky to have a dad like him in their lives!
