Joy Behar Calls On Women To Use ‘Sex Strikes’ To Protest Potential Overturn Of Roe V. Wade

Liberals everywhere have been having meltdowns left and right in the days since the unprecedented leak of the draft of a Supreme Court opinion indicating that Roe V. Wade was about to be overturned, a move that would throw the issue of abortion back to the states.

However, few people took this report worse than Joy Behar and her radically liberal costars on the ABC talk show “The View.”

Behar Touts ‘Sex Strikes’

After spending much of Monday’s show sulking over the report, Behar hatched a plan on Tuesday morning that she thinks may stop plans to overturn Roe V. Wade dead in their tracks, and that plan is a sex strike.

Yes, you read that correctly: Behar is calling on women to withhold sex if any plans to overturn Roe V. Wade move forward.

Behar’s Gives A History Lesson On Sex Strikes

“Women in the world have conducted sex strikes in history,” Behar said, somehow with a dead serious expression on her face. “In 2003, a sex strike helped to end Liberia’s brutal civil war. The woman who started it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.”

“In Kenya, they forced a sex ban until fighting ceased,” she continued. “In one week, there was a stable government. We have more power than we think we have, and some of it could be right in the bedroom, just saying.”

Instead of laughing Behar off the stage as they should have, Behar’s co-hosts acted like this was a brilliant plan, with Sunny Hostin saying that “a sex strike that could be quite effective.”

Twitter Blows Up – Fires Back At Behar

It should come as no surprise to you that this has since blown up in Behar’s face, as Twitter has had a field day with this:

Behar Sees This As ‘War’ On Women And Minorities

In this same segment, Behar explained that she thinks something like a sex strike could be necessary because she believes overturning Roe V. Wade is “a slippery slope…these people if they’re in charge with the presidency, the Senate and the House, it’s going to be a disaster.”

She then urged her fans: “don’t think this is just a war on women. It could be a war on people of color and gay people.”

However, Behar might be surprised to learn that withholding sex might not be an effective way for women to fight this “war,” given how little of it Generation Z, the generation born after 1996, is having these days.

Generation Z Isn’t Interested In Sex, Studies Show

One recent study showed that members of Generation Z between the ages of 20 and 24 were more likely than millennials and Generation X. In fact, while just 6 percent of Generation Xers said that they were sexually inactive at that age, a whopping 15 percent of Generation Zers say that they are having no sex between 20 and 24.

Studies like this one have led Newsweek to declare Generation Z to be the “least sex positive generation” in decades.

So, perhaps Behar might want to think of something else that she can weaponize in her quest to fight the overturn of Roe V. Wade besides sex. May we suggest a strike of anything fun? Because that seems like something that Behar and her fellow radical liberals seem much better at withholding from the rest of us these days.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
