Believe it or not, the “woke” former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is about to become a doctor. He’s set to receive an honorary degree from Morgan State University on Saturday.
University president David Wilson made this announcement, explaining that Kaepernick will be given this degree alongside businessman David Burton and filmmaker David Talbert.
“We are absolutely thrilled to bestow honorary degrees to David E. Talbert, David E. Burton, and Colin Kaepernick for their individual, and collective, contributions to the progression of the Black narrative and pursuit of excellence,” Wilson said, according to MIC.
The university said that Kaepernick is being given a Doctor of Humane Letters degree because of his activism, as he has founded three organizations (Know Your Rights Camp, Ra Vision Media, and Kaepernick Publishing) that aim to lead to the “liberation of Black and Brown people.”

Kaepernick became a household name back in 2016 when he began taking a knee during the national anthem before his games as a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. Though he claimed that he was doing this to protest against racial inequality in America, many saw this as a clear sign of disrespect to the American flag, and those who have fought and died for it.
Kaepernick has not played in the NFL since he left the 49ers early in 2017, and liberals have tried to turn him into a martyr since then, claiming that he has been blacklisted by the league because it is “racist.”
Others, however, have pointed out that Kaepernick led the 49ers to an abysmal losing record in 2016, so it’s likely his own lack of football skills that have led to him not being signed again.
In a Netflix special that aired in the fall, Kaepernick outrageously compared the NFL to slavery. Bizarrely, he has since changed his tune, and has taken to effectively begging the NFL to take him back as of late.
“Let me compete,” he said last month. “You can evaluate me from there. The NFL’s supposed to be a meritocracy. Let me compete. If I’m not good enough, get rid of me. But let me come in and show you.”
“I know I have to find my way back in. So, if I have to come in as a backup, that’s fine,” Kaepernick later added. “But that’s not where I’m staying. And when I prove that I’m a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door.”

Frankly, it’s an insult to doctors everywhere that Kaepernick is about to become one. Since he’s being given this degree by a liberal arts college, this can be chalked up to yet another example of the left fawning over him for no reason.
