The Hollywood star Will Smith reemerged for the first time over the weekend since he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars last month, and where he popped up may surprise you.
Daily Mail reported that Smith was seen arriving in Mumbai, India on Saturday to meet with the spiritual leader Sadhguru, who he met with his family in Los Angeles back in 2020. Smith was flocked by fans as soon as he arrived, and he took a few selfies with them before he entered a building for the meeting.

When Smith met Sadhguru back in 2020, he’d said that he was a big fan of his.
“I wanted my family to meet spiritual people, to start interacting with people who are not hooked on the material world,” he said at the time.
Video posted to Smith’s social media showed Sadhguru talking to him and his family.
“In any area of life, those who are most successful are always the most miserable people because they get to the top of the world and the top of the world doesn’t feel like the top of the world,” Sadghuru told Smith.
“What happened yesterday they’re suffering today. Are you suffering life or your memory? You’re just suffering your memory,” he added. “What may happen tomorrow you already suffer. You’re suffering your imagination!”

This marked the first time that Smith had been seen since he stormed the stage at the Oscars and slapped Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The former “Fresh Prince Of Bel Air” star has since been banned from all Academy events, including the Oscars, for the next decade.
“During our telecast, we did not adequately address the situation in the room. For this, we are sorry,” the Academy said in a statement. “This was an opportunity for us to set an example for our guests, viewers and our Academy family around the world, and we fell short — unprepared for the unprecedented.”
“The Board has decided, for a period of 10 years from April 8, 2022, Mr. Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events or programs, in person or virtually, including but not limited to the Academy Awards,” the statement added. “We want to express our deep gratitude to Mr. Rock for maintaining his composure under extraordinary circumstances. We also want to thank our hosts, nominees, presenters and winners for their poise and grace during our telecast.”
It remains to be seen whether Smith will be able to bounce back from his Oscars slap, or if he will be “cancelled” permanently in Hollywood. It would certainly be interesting to see what advice he may have gotten from Sadhguru during this difficult time!
