Betty White’s Home Is On The Market For $10.5 Million

The house where the legendary “Golden Girls” star Betty White passed away on the last day of 2021 at the age of 99 has gone on the market for a whopping $10.5 million.

White’s Home Goes On Sale

The New York Post reported that the home is located in the ritzy area of Brentwood Park in Los Angeles, California. The listing states that the home, which stands out with charming canary-yellow shutters, presents an opportunity to “build your dream home on a flat lot in a serene country setting.”

White bought the home back in 1968 with her husband Allen Ludden, who tragically died in 1981. A spokesman for White told The Wall Street Journal that they had chosen the home because of a combination of its proximity to Hollywood studios and privacy.

White Died In This House

White died at the home, which is located at 506 North Carmelina Ave., on December 31 at the age of 99 six days after she suffered a stroke. She was just seventeen days shy of her 100th birthday at the time of her passing.

“Betty passed in her sleep peacefully without pain,” her longtime friend and agent Jeff Witjas said after her death. “To me this is the most important thing and brings me comfort as her dear friend. Anything else is private to Betty.”

White’s home boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and it spans 3,029 square feet. However, the listing states that anyone looking to buy the home will not be able to tour the inside.

“There will be no interior access of the home,” the listing reads. “All showings are of the exterior only.”

‘Betty White Was A California Girl’

Daily Mail reported that the home was built back in 1952, and it offers a spectacular view of the J. Paul Getty Museum. The property also includes a guest house, where White and Ludden reportedly enjoyed playing charades with their A-list friends like Burt Reynolds, Jimmy Stewart and his wife Gloria, and Dinah Shore.

“Betty White was a California girl through and through,” White’s estate said. “Despite living in New York when she and Allen Ludden were first married, she longed to be ‘back home’ in Los Angeles where she grew up.”

Yahoo News reported that this news comes after White’s beach house in Carmel, California sold for $10.775 million, which was nearly $3 million over the asking price.

Fans are still devastated over White’s death. She brought joy to millions of people for decades and will always be dearly missed. We hope that she rests in peace.

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
