Betty White final video

Legendary “Golden Girl” herself Betty White passed away on New Year’s Eve, 17 days shy of her 100th birthday. Now, a video that White filmed on December 20, 11 days before her death, has been released, and it includes a powerful message that she wanted to send to her fans.

White Addresses Her Fans In Final Video

“I just want to thank you all for your love and support over the years,” White said in the video, according to Daily Mail. “Thank you so much, and stick around!”

The video was released by White’s assistant Kiersten Mikelas, who said that it was filmed to be used in the film “Betty White: A Celebration,” which came out on her 100th birthday on January 17.

White Wanted To Celebrate Her Fans

“When we recorded her special message to fans who attended the movie, we also recorded one that we had planned to put on social media on her birthday,” Mikelas said. “She was using the occasion of her 100th birthday to celebrate YOU – her fans. She knew how lucky she was; she felt the love, and she never took it for granted. I think it’s appropriate to post today as a thank from Betty and the animals.”

Mikelas also thanked fans for taking part in the #BettyWhiteChallenge, which saw them donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to rescued animals.

“As we continue to see numbers coming in from all over the world — it’s just absolutely amazing how much money all of you raised for the animals through #thebettywhitechallenge,” she said. “She could never have imagined such an outpouring of love and would have be [sic] so grateful to everyone.”

‘She Never Wanted People To Make A Fuss Over Her’

White passed away on December 31, six days after she suffered a mild stroke. Her manager Jeff Witjas said that she was laid to rest in a private ceremony a few days later.

“The arrangements are being handled privately and that was Betty’s wish,” he said. “As in life, she never wanted people to make a fuss over her.”

Witjas went on to encourage any fans who want to honor White to do so by donating to one of her favorite organizations, like The Los Angeles Zoo, Tree People, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Wildlife Learning Center, and Actors and Animals for Others.

“If someone has a desire to do something in her honor, you can support or donate to one or more of her favorite charities or even donate to a local animal charity of your choice,” he said.

White is dearly missed by her millions of fans all over the globe. May she rest in peace.
