UFC Fight Night Results: Curtis Blaydes Manhandles Chris Daukaus

Curtis Blaydes took care of Chris Daukaus Saturday night at UFC Fight Night.

Blaydes earned a second round finish over Daukaus in the main event. The card took place from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, airing live on ESPN and ESPN+.

In the first, Blaydes damaged Daukaus, leaving him with a nasty cut around his left eye. Moments in the second, he finished him, securing the win. 

Alexa Grasso picked up a first round submission win over Joanne Wood in the co-main event. Grasso locked up the rear-naked choke with just over a minute to go and earned the finish. 

In a welterweight showdown, Bryan Barberena earned a split decision over Matt Brown. Barberena improved to 17-8 in his career with his biggest win to date.

Kai Kara-France withstood a game effort by Askar Askarov, earning a decision. Veteran Neil Magny halted the run of Max Griffin in the welterweight division. Magny used his striking and wrestling to secure a split decision on the scorecards. 

Marc Diakiese kicked off the main card with an upset of Viacheslav Borshchev. Diakiese was able to sweep the scorecards in a lightweight affair.

In the prelim headliner, Sara McMann earned a hard-fought decision over Karol Rosa. 

Aliaskhab Khizriev and Chris Gutierrez scored second round finishes. Khizriev submitted Denis Tiuliulin with a rear-naked choke at middleweight and Gutierrez stopped Danaa Batgerel at bantamweight. 

Luis Saldana, Matheus Nicolau and Manon Fiorot kicked off the night with three consecutive decision wins. Saldana topped Bruno Souza, Nicolau got by David Dvorak and Fiorot downed Jennifer Maia.

The event lost several planned fights in the lead up, including a scheduled main event between light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz and Aleksandar Rakic. 

Also, the day of, Ilir Latifi was pulled from a fight with Alexey Oleynik due to an illness.
