Tom Brady staying in shape

Last month, we reported that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was retiring after a 22-year NFL career in which he won seven Super Bowls. However, new reports are coming in alleging that Brady has been telling those close to him indicating that he may be rethinking his plan to end his NFL career permanently.

Brady Staying In Shape ‘Just In Case’

“I guess Brady walks around with a jug of water all the time, right? To make sure that he’s fully hydrated,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, according to Sports Illustrated. “And I made the joke to someone who knows him very well and has known him forever, I go, ‘I guess we can retire the jug.’”

“And this person looked at me like I was crazy and was like, ‘Oh no, he’s still got the jug, he’s still in shape, he’s still eating well, he’s still doing the TB12 method or whatever, and he’s still keeping himself hydrated … in case. He’s still doing all the things that he would do in case he wanted to return,'” Rapoport added.

‘It Is At Least Possible’

This indicates that at best, Brady’s retirement at this time is not as certain as fans may have thought.

“I don’t know if he’s gonna come back. I know it is at least possible,” Rapaport concluded. “And I don’t know where the level of possible is. But it is at least possible.”

Brady created the TB12 method, which is a whole-foods-based diet that he has followed throughout his career.

“About 80% of this diet consists of organically grown fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes,” Healthline stated. “The remaining 20% comes from grass-fed, organic, antibiotic- and hormone-free lean meats and wild-caught fish or seafood.”

Who Would Brady Play For If He Comes Back?

If Brady backtrack on his retirement, there are rumors that he may choose to play for another team rather than going back to the Buccaneers.

“Now I will say this: I’ve seen all the rumors and the kind of reporting on Brady wanting to be in San Francisco, and I’ve seen [sportscaster] Mike Florio’s had some of that. I have not personally corroborated any of that,” Rapoport said. “Now maybe my sources are not as good [as Florio’s], but I’ve had no one tell me that he actually wants to play for San Fran.”

Brady has already proven himself to be an NFL legend who is a class act both on and off the field. While we would certainly understand if he wants to retire at this time in his life, we would also love to see him play another season or two so we can see what more he is capable of!
