Queen Elizabeth ‘Would Desperately Like To See’ Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Daughter Lilibet

Queen Elizabeth hasn’t gotten to meet her great-granddaughter Lilibet, who was born to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in June of last year in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California. Now, sources are saying that the Queen is desperate to see Lilibet in person as soon as possible. Lilibet is the Queen’s 11th great grandchild.

“I have heard from people I know within the Royal Household she really would desperately like to see the baby in this way,” royal expert Brian Hoey told The Express. “I think she would love to, I wonder whether it is going to happen, I would love to think it could.”

When asked if the Queen meeting Lilibet would signify that the rift between the Royal family and Harry and Meghan is being mended, Hoey replied, “Yes, it would.”

“It would be a very easy thing for the rift to be healed between them,” he said.

As for the seeming tensions between the Royal family and Harry and Meghan, Hoey said, “It may not be as bad as we on the outside think it is anyway.”

This is the first photograph of Lilibet that was released in December 2021, and was taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at their home in Santa Barbara.

It was sent by email as a card with the message: “Happy Holidays – This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa’, and Lili made us a family.”

Queen Isn’t Mad At Harry And Meghan

“I am absolutely sure the Queen holds no feelings of disapproval towards Harry and Meghan, none whatsoever, she would certainly welcome them back if they came,” he continued.

Meghan and Harry shocked the world in 2020 when they stepped down as Senior Royals and moved to California with their son Archie.

They then welcomed Lilibet last year, naming her after a nickname that the Queen’s father King George V had for her when she was a child.

It is unknown at this time whether or not Meghan and Harry will be traveling to the United Kingdom later this year for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which is meant to celebrate her record-breaking 70 years on the British throne.

Given the fact that Harry has been paid a whopping $20 million to pen a tell-all memoir that is due to be released in the fall, however, Royal author Tom Bower does not think he will be making the trip.

Harry ‘Cannot Face His Family’

“I think Harry won’t come back because he knows he cannot face his family, and be pleasant with them, knowing what he’s written about them in that book,” Bower said, according to Daily Mail. “That book will have a lot of casualties and cause a lot of hurt. It will really deliver, as Harry knows it has to, to justify the money he’s been paid to do it. How can Harry come back and pretend it’s all fine? The worst of what he will say is yet to come.”

Should Harry and Meghan not travel to the U.K. for the Platinum Jubilee, it will likely be quite some time before the Queen gets to meet her beloved little great granddaughter.
