Jason Kelce is a man’s man. He’s the starting All-Pro center for the Philadelphia Eagles and a man of his word. So when fans challenged him to sing the National Anthem. He gave it his all. Watch it here.

Even Stars Get Nervous

Kelce was more nervous to sing than he was when he played the Super Bowl!

Jason Kelce’s won a Super Bowl, given the speech of a lifetime, and is generally a living legend.

But he has to admit… singing the National Anthem before Monday’s Sixers game has him shook ? pic.twitter.com/kuy3SzDQRJ

Kelce laid out a challenge. If the Make The World A Better Place Foundation could raise $100,000, Kelce would perform the national anthem. They put the challenge out there, not thinking they would get near it.

Jason Kelce’s national anthem performance at the Sixers game was to make good on a fundraising promise for Connor Barwin’s Make The World Better Foundation. More from @itssnick: https://t.co/Ni1sZMKoSO

Well, let me tell you, do NOT underestimate the drive and determination of Philly fans. You lay down a challenge, and they’ll do it. Philly fans are known as the most passionate and rowdy in the country, regardless of the sport.

Philly fans will fight you, each other, throw batteries at opposing players, boo Santa Claus, whatever it takes to secure a win. GO BIRDS.

Twitter, of course, LOVED IT!

Eagles center Jason Kelce, thanks to fans hitting a charity fund raising goal, sang the national anthem before tonight’s game. He won’t have a second career as a recording star, but the fans here loved it all the same.

Jason Kelce Is A Character

Besides being a five-time Pro-Bowler, four-time All-Pro, and one of the highest-paid linemen in the NFL, Jason Kelce is a Philly treasure. The man gave one of the best Super Bowl victory speeches of all time decked out in full Mummer gear.

What a speech! The dude looks like he could be a great wrestler. Next stop WWE?

When many NFL players hold out for more money to keep playing, Kelce was holding out for beer – two kegs worth.

My Favorite National Anthem Renditions

I am a connoisseur of national anthem attempts. Everyone always says Beyoncé or Whitney Houston, but I want the real ones.

Like when Carl Lewis said “uh-oh” mid-song.

Or when Michael Bolton had the lyrics WRITTEN ON HIS HAND!

This isn’t our national anthem, but South Africa’s national anthem sung before a rugby match is something else.

The whole crowd and team are into it.

This might get me in trouble, but I think we sing the national anthem too often. It is a fantastic song and the perfect story of America’s perseverance.

We should hold the Star-Spangled Banner in reverence for special occasions, not played before every JV softball game.
