Bellator Results: Adam Borics, Phil Davis Score Big Victories

Adam Borics and Phil Davis were among the big winners at Bellator 276 Saturday night.

The event aired live on Showtime from St. Louis.

In the headline bout, Borics scored a victory over Mads Burnell to secure his standing as the featherweight No. 1 contender. With the win, Borics is now 18-1 in his career.

“The hard work pays off guys,” Borics said. “I am next. I think I could have taken him down. Mads us a tough guy.”

Davis, a former champion, moved to 24-6 with a one-sided decision win over Julius Anglickas.

“What’s next for me is an ice bath, two ibuprofens and we’ll go from there,” Davis said.

Asked about a potential rematch with Ryan Bader, Davis seemed unsure. Bader currently holds the heavyweight title after also competing at light heavyweight.

“I’d have to go up,” Davis said. “I hate to say it, but he looks pretty unstoppable at heavyweight.”

Johnny Enblen remained unbeaten with a decision win over middleweight No. 1 contender John Salter.
