Tom Brady movie

Earlier this month, we reported that the NFL legend Tom Brady had announced that he is retiring from the NFL. Now, his next move has been revealed, and the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is going Hollywood.

Brady To Star In New Movie

Daily Mail reported that Brady is set to both act in and produce a new movie about football that is titled 80 For Brady. The film will also star Oscar winners Jane Fonda, Sally Field, and Rita Moreno, with “Grace And Frankie” star Lily Tomlin set to appear in it as well.

The plot of the movie revolves around those four actresses playing a group of best friends who are huge New England Patriots fans that travel to the 2017 Super Bowl LI, just to see their hero Brady play.

Inspired by a true story, the movie will follow the chaos of the trip as the elderly women try to make their way to America’s biggest sporting event.

Brady developed this project with Donna Gigliotti, and it will be directed by Kyle Marvin. Brady has good memories from the 2017 Super Bowl. He led the Patriots to a victory over the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 34-28 that year.

Brady Retires From NFL

Brady announced his retirement from the NFL on February 1 after 22 seasons that saw him lead his teams to seven Super Bowl titles.

“I have always believed the sport of football is an ‘all-in’ proposition – if a 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about our game,” Brady said at the time. “There is a physical, mental, and emotional challenge EVERY single day that has allowed me to maximize my highest potential. And I have tried my very best these past 22 years. There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life.”

“This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,” he added. “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”

Brady Thanks His Family

Brady went on to thank his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen and his three children, describing them as his “inspiration” and his “greatest achievement.” He noticeably did not mention the Patriots at all in his retirement statement, but his new movie indicates that he looks back at his time with that team fondly.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Brady does on the big screen! There is no word yet on when this movie will be coming out.
