Matthew Stafford Super Bowl

Days after Matthew Stafford led the Los Angeles Rams to a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night, his wife Kelly took to her Instagram Story to defend him from his haters.

‘Can Y’all Just Let Him Enjoy This?’

“Can y’all just let him enjoy this?!” Kelly, 32, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. “It went from Matthew can’t win, to Matthew can’t win against winning teams, to Matthew can’t win big games, to Matthew can’t win playoff games, to Matthew can’t win it all.”

Not stopping there, Kelly proceeded to call out “the debate on the HOF,” which stands for “Hall Of Fame.”

“We shouldn’t be talking about the HOF because he isn’t done playing this game,” she continued. “If you don’t believe he is a [Hall of Famer] … I can’t wait for him to prove you wrong in his remaining years, just like he did IN ONE YEAR to everyone who said all the things listed above.”

“So let’s table this talk until he actually retires? Thank you,” Kelly concluded.

‘He Has Worked His Butt Off’

Prior to the Super Bowl, Kelly was open about how excited she was for her husband, particularly after the scrutiny he faced during the 2021-2022 season.

“I am so excited for him, I mean he has worked his butt off for a long time,” Kelly said last Wednesday, according to US Weekly.

“He had so much pressure on him,” she added. “That team had so much pressure on them. And if they didn’t make it to the Super Bowl they were a bust, you know? So now that that pressure is kind of taken off in a way, he can just go play this game and have some fun, while he’s doing it.”

Matthew Praises Kelly

Earlier this month, Matthew praised Kelly for how supportive she was of the Rams during their battle to win the Lombardi Trophy.

“I couldn’t have done it without her. She’s an unbelievable part of my life,” he said. “She’s been through a lot with me, and we’ve leaned on each other at separate times to help ourselves get whatever we’re having to get through.”

Matthew and Kelly met in college before they got married in April of 2015. They have since welcomed four daughters, with twins (Sawyer and Chandler) being born in 2016 and their youngest two in 2018 (Hunter Hope) and 2020 (Tyler Hall).

Like any public figure, Matthew undoubtedly has to deal with more than his fair share of internet trolls, so it’s nice to see that his wife has his back so strongly! It’s clear that nobody messes with Kelly Stafford’s man on her watch.
