According to a report, Drake Maverick has re-signed with the WWE. What new role will he have with the company? More details on this story, below.

Drake Maverick Re-Signed With WWE

As per a report from PW Insider, Drake Maverick has signed a contract with the WWE. However, his new role might not be what some fans are expecting.

He won’t be wrestling anytime soon, or possibly in the future. Interestingly enough, Maverick, whose real name is James Curtin, will be working on the Creative team for Monday Night RAW.

In fact, he entered this new role about three to four weeks ago. On behalf of everyone here at WNZ, we wish him all the best.

Drake Maverick has had quite a career and should be able to offer valuable input on the RAW Creative team. He began with the company in 2017 as the Red brand’s General Manager, and he also managed the Authors of Pain at one point.

He would then move to the cruiserweight division, landing on the 205 LIVE brand. Maverick was also a part of the 24/7 title segments.

Drake Maverick Re-Signed With WWE, “Good Move”

Drake was released in 2020 during WWE’s initial cuts. He posted a highly emotional video on his social media channels and was brought back by HHH to NXT.

Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the WWE released him again this past November. Maverick was liked by mostly everyone in the company.

It’s also been noted that he has a great mind for the wrestling business. He’s always been very entertaining and great on the mic, so this looks like a good move by the WWE to place him on RAW’s Creative team.

Speaking of being “well-liked”, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is not only very popular with those backstage, but also the WWE Universe. The good news is that she’s been announced for an upcoming live event.

Trish Stratus Attending Live Events

During this week’s Monday Night RAW, local TV ads in Ontario ran to promote two live events happening in the area. One is being held on Saturday, March 26th in Kitchener at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

The other is being held on Sunday, March 27th at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto. Trish Stratus has been announced for both events.

Stratus had originally been announced as a special guest host for a WWE live event scheduled at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto this past December 29, 2021. Sadly, the show was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Both shows in Toronto and Kitchener are RAW-branded events. What kind of role will Trish play at these house shows?

More On What Trish Is Up To, Lately

Currently, the yoga-loving mom of two is filming segments as a judge on Canada’s Got Talent. The show is set to premiere on Tuesday, March 22nd on Canada’s CityTV channel.

The last time Trish worked for the WWE was the 2019 SummerSlam event that took place in Toronto that year. She challenged then (and current) SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair. Stratus lost the match, but still owns the hearts of WWE fans, everywhere.
