Conservative Country Music Star Jason Aldean Sells Majority Of His Music Catalog For $100 Million

Country music star Jason Aldean, who is known for being unapologetic about his conservative views, has just made a huge move by selling 90% of his recorded-music catalog to Spirit Music Group.

Aldean’s Massive Deal

Variety has confirmed that this deal was made, with sources saying that Aldean sold his music for a whopping $100 million.

The deal includes nine of Aldean’s album, six of which are certified platinum. The catalog that was sold includes all of his music from his self-titled 2005 debut through his ninth album, 2019’s “9.”

“It’s cool that a company like Spirit, that’s been around so long, has taken on my music catalog,” Aldean said. “It’s something really important to me, so I’m glad it’ll be looked after.”

Spirit Executives Speak Out

Frank Rogers, CEO, Spirit Music Nashville, made it clear that his company is happy about the deal as well.

“Jason Aldean has been a consistent hitmaker and trailblazer in country music for nearly two decades,” Rogers said. “His recordings have helped define the sound of modern country music. Aldean’s longtime label BBR Music Group has retained its portion of his music, and he will still be a Broken Bow/BMG recording artist recording artist moving forward.

Aldean’s Political Views

Aldean has been making headlines over the past few months by speaking out against President Joe Biden, and despite getting backlash from liberals, he’s refused to back down.

“I will never apologize for my beliefs or my love for my family and country,” Aldean wrote on Instagram back in October alongside a photo of his silhouette in front of the American flag. “This is the greatest country in the world and I want to keep it that way. #unapologetic #phoenixwasfire”

Aldean had previously kept his politics private, telling Rolling Stone in 2016 that he did not vote in that presidential election.

When asked if he would have voted for Trump if he had decided to vote, Aldean said, “I don’t know if I’m going to cross that road with you. That’s one subject I do stay away from. Politics is a no-win.”

His wife Brittany Aldean is also vocal about her conservative political views as well.
