2021: What a year, huh? Last year, we were on high alert because of an election, COVID, and all the things in between. This year has just been a blur – I think we’re all collectively exhausted.
However, there were still enough celebrity scandals to sink our teeth into – take a look at our top four celebrity scandals of 2021.

It was the cause of every woman in her 30s, ending Britney Spears’ conservatorship.
Despite Britney seeming increasingly unhinged on Instagram, public pressure and a scathing documentary combined to give Britney Spears control over her finances for the first time in over a decade.
While she still does not have full custody of her children and is still acting suspicious on Instagram, everyone can breathe a sigh of relief that BRITNEY is “free” from the control of her father.

Alec Baldwin’s Gun Mishap
The tragedy that led to the death of a young cinematographer is still shrouded in mystery.
Alec Baldwin recently gave an interview to clear his name, but it is already backfiring as people who were on set have contradicted him.
Regardless of what actually happened, there will be a lot of lawsuits and probably (hopefully) some jail time for what was a very preventable tragedy.
Baldwin, fair or not, will forever be branded with this incident. His career might be over for good because of it.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Existing
Look, I know we post about the Royal Family a lot on here, but I have to be honest I don’t care.
But clearly, I am in the minority on that one. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle turned the Royal Family on its head with their tell-all interview with Oprah.
Ever since that, they’ve continued to keep themselves in the news despite a professed desire to have quiet private lives.
I don’t doubt that someone in the Royal Family said something uncouth and probably racist about Meghan Markle and her baby. But why blow up a whole family like that? Why isolate your husband from his family? Is it worth all this?
Dave Chappelle
The media needed something – ANYTHING – to distract us from the failure in Afghanistan.
So they went to their favorite topic; a comedian saying something slightly mean about a group of people. Dave Chappelle, in what was easily his worst special, bore the wrath of the LGBTQIA+ community by making a few jokes about trans people. There were a lot of people “mad” on the Internet and a tiny protest took place that the media completely blew out of hand.
Netflix refused to cave to the mob, which was a welcome sight for sure. But I have to ask, why did anyone care? If I ever get mad enough about a comedy show that I start calling for people to lose their livelihoods, then put me out to pasture.
