Ric Flair Calls Bryan Danielson An ‘Okay’ Wrestler

When it comes to icons in pro wrestling, there are only a few. Many names are debatable, but most put Ric Flair in their list.

Flair cut a promo not like nobody else and his wrestling skills were decent. Although, some might not agree with Flair’s recent comments calling Bryan Danielson an ‘okay’ worker.

While speaking with Mark Madden on his Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED podcast, he brought up WrestleMania XXX. On that night, Danielson defeated Triple H and later Randy Orton and Batista to become champion.

“I didn’t say he wasn’t a good worker,” said Flair. “When Hunter put him over at [WrestleMania XXX], that made him.”

“He’s a very talented kid, don’t misunderstand me. But, you have to have one match, one place, one day, somewhere that makes you who you are.”

“Hunter, who only wrestles once in a while, came out and the match started off slow but they ended up having a world-class match. He’s a hell of a performer, I don’t see him as being Kenny Omega.”

“As a babyface, he’s not Ricky Steamboat. As a heel, he’s not me. If that pisses people off, they have to live with history.”

Ric Flair Must Have Missed Those Bryan Danielson Matches In AEW

Well, those remarks will probably not be met too well by fans. Danielson is credited for in-ring work, with some calling the best of the generation.

Since coming to AEW, Danielson has been able to showcase more than in WWE. When in WWE, he had follow their way of things.

Now, we have seen Danielson go undefeated in AEW. And, that two includes two AEW World Championship matches that went to a draw.

To begin, he and Kenny Omega went 30 minutes in-front of the largest AEW crowd to date. Then, at Winter is Coming, he went to the first 60 minute time limit in AEW opposite Adam Page.
