Hollywood star Chris Pratt has found himself being targeted by cancel culture once again this week after he shared a photo of himself and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt with a caption that some social media users found to be insensitive towards his 9-year-old son Jack and ex-wife Anna Faris. Now, Maria Shriver is speaking out to defend her son-in-law amidst the backlash.
It all started when Chris Pratt thanked his wife for giving him a “healthy daughter,” referring to their 1-year-old child Lyla Maria.
Some social media users saw this as an insult to his firstborn, who was born premature and suffered health issues over the years.
As the backlash on the post intensified, Shriver swooped in in the comments section to defend her son-in-law.
“I want to remind you today what a good man you are and what a great father you are to jack and lyla… what a great husband you are to Katherine… what a great son-in-law you are to me and what a great sense of humor you have,” Shriver wrote. “Rise above the noise. Your family loves you. What a beautiful life. I’m proud of you.”

Fox News reported that Pratt himself addressed the scandal on his Instagram Stories, saying that he felt “upset and depressed.”
“I knew that if I put on my Christian music playlist and I got out in the woods and ran, that I’d feel better. But I just didn’t want to,” Pratt lamented.
Pratt went on to add that he went for a run anyway, and the faith-inspired songs got his blood pumping.
“Gosh was I right! It felt amazing!” Pratt said. “God sat there right next to me.”
He may be an A-list actor starring in movies like Jurassic World and Guardians Of The Galaxy but he’s also vocal about his faith. Chris Pratt’s strong Christian faith continues to keep him grounded.
Pratt then said that this experience made him “get emotional,” and he “felt like there was another in the fire standing next to me … That moment really captured me. And so I just want to say, all glory to God!”
“Get some exercise, maybe listen to some good worship music and or maybe get the word in because it really helped me this morning,” Pratt recommended to his fans.
In fact, Chris Pratt’s Christian faith is something that bonds he and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The “woke” cancel culture mob has come for Pratt many times over the years amidst rumors that he is a conservative who voted for Donald Trump. He’s an outspoken Christian who certainly does not tow the Hollywood culture line.

With this situation involving Chris Pratt’s children, however, the cancel culture brigade is really grasping at straws in the lowest way possible.
If you ask me, the Zero Dark Thirty star really should listen to his mother-in-law and “rise above the noise,” because these haters are not worth his time.
