Powerful Moment Tom Brady Gives 9-Year-Old Cancer Survivor His Hat

Tom Brady left a 9-year-old cancer survivor in tears of joy on Sunday night when he handed him his hat after spotting him in the crowd.

Brady Gives Hat To Cancer Survivor

Daily Mail reported that Brady caught sight of little Noah Reeb, who was holding a sign that read “Tom Brady helped me beat brain cancer.”

A video that has since gone viral shows Brady walking up to Reeb and handing him his hat, causing the child to burst into tears. Noah’s dad uploaded the video to social media along with the caption, “Noah’s first NFL game. A dream come true. Still hard to believe.”

Reeb was diagnosed with having a brain tumor in December of 2020 after initially suffering from multiple headaches. He finished his cancer treatment in July after successfully beating the cancer, but he continues to remain under observation until he turns 18 to ensure it does not return.

‘Every Mom’s Worse Nightmare’

“It’s like every mom’s worse nightmare, and then instantly you want to protect him and you don’t know what to do, so you just rely on faith from that point on,” his mom Jacque told KSL in Salt Lake City. “Faith and trust in God that whatever is going to happen is for a reason.”

Noah’s mom Jacque took to her husband’s Instagram stories moments after Brady shook her son’s hand to share her thanks.

She wrote: ‘@tombrady This kid fought and fought with a dream that one day he could watch you play in real life. You gave him strength and hope and a dream. ‘You are not just the greatest athlete of all time, you are truly a good man. An exceptional father. A remarkable example. And you have just changed my boy’s life. ‘Thank you from the bottom of my mama heart.’

After his game, Brady said of the encounter, “Puts a lot in perspective, what we’re doing on the field. In the end, it doesn’t mean much compared to what so many people go through.”

“We all try to make a difference in different ways and I think so many guys commit times to their foundations and to doing good things for the world,” he added. “And the NFL does a lot of great things, so it’s just nice to — I always think you know do the best that you can do, under any circumstance. It was nice to see.”

Brady Breaks Record

This came at the end of a great night for Brady, as his team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Chicago Bears 38-3. Brady, who also became the first player in history to throw 600 touchdown passes, threw four touchdown passes during the game.

“Yeah, the numbers, they’re staggering and they’ll probably never be broken,” Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians told The Associated Press. “I say that, but who knows when the next Tom Brady is going to come. They are staggering, but when you watch him practice every single day, you don’t see the age.”

God bless Brady for showing the world once again last night that he continues to be an inspiration both on and off the field.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
