Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Hit With Backlash After Making Time’s 100 Most Influential People List

It was revealed on Wednesday that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list this year. Unfortunately for them, this news has been met with serious backlash from many who feel that Meghan and Harry are not deserving of this honor.

Meghan And Harry Make Time’s 100 Influential People List

In his profile for the couple in Time Magazine, chef José Andrés praised them for their “woke” liberal activism.

“Springing into action is not the easy choice for a young duke and duchess who have been blessed through birth and talent, and burned by fame. It would be much safer to enjoy their good fortune and stay silent,” he wrote.

“That’s not what Harry and Meghan do, or who they are,” Andrés added. “They turn compassion into boots on the ground through their Archewell Foundation. They give voice to the voiceless through media production. Hand in hand with nonprofit partners, they take risks to help communities in need—offering mental-health support to Black women and girls in the U.S., and feeding those affected by natural disasters in India and the Caribbean.”

“In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know, the duke and duchess have compassion for the people they don’t know,” he concluded. “They don’t just opine. They run toward the struggle.”

Social Media Users Fire Back

Andrés may be fawning over Meghan and Harry, but many social media users held nothing back as they made it clear that they could not disagree with him more.

“Patronizing talk. I’ll like to see some show of compassion from folks who don’t live a life of privilege. I’ll like to see compassion shorn of the glamour of camera lens,” one social media user commented.

“Left wing Woke minded Time magazine might be influenced by them but I don’t think many others are,” another Twitter user added, with a third writing, “Hysterical! Would not trust them to run a candy store.”

“Is this some sick joke? Influential in what? Spreading more made up bs garbage,” someone else commented.

Meghan And Harry Go ‘Woke’

Since stepping down as senior Royals last year, Meghan and Harry have gone full “woke” while also trashing the Royal Family seemingly every chance they get.

These days, they love nothing more than lecturing the rest of us about how to live our lives like good radical liberals from their multi-million dollar mansion in California.
