Ricky Bandejas-Kevin Cordero Headline Combate Global Card

Bantamweights Ricky Bandejas and Kevin Cordero will headline Friday’s Combate Global card.

The event airs live on Paramount+ beginning with a pre-show at 10:30 p.m. ET. The first bout is set for 11 p.m. ET.

Fighting out of Coconut Creek, Fla., the 29-year-old Bandejas is coming off an impressive Combate Global debut in which he put on a full display of his striking capabilities to notch a unanimous decision victory over Terry Bartholomew on August 6.

At just 21 years of age, Cordero of El Gran Canaria, Spain has already amassed a lengthy resume of 13 professional bouts to become Spain’s top pound-for-pound rising star.

Cordero will make his Combate Global debut in the midst of a five-fight win streak that he has put together by finishing each of his last five opponents via (T)KO or submission.

In a featured bantamweight matchup, undefeated Eduardo “Cyborg” Torres (11-0) will put his perfect record on the line against Team AKA member Nohelin “Suave” Hernandez (11-5).

Torres of Santiago, Chile, is a 26-year-old, two-time veteran of Combate action.  He recently signed a new, exclusive, multi-fight promotional agreement with Combate Global.

The 27-year-old Hernandez of Gilroy, Calif. made his Combate Global debut on May 29, reaching the semifinal stage of the promotion’s one-night, eight-man bantamweight tournament by defeating fellow American Manny Vazquez by way of split decision.

A featured flyweight (125 pounds) affair will see Gerardo Graniel (6-2) of Mexico City, Mexico square off with Roger Blanque (4-2) of Barcelona, Spain.

In a women’s 110-pound catchweight affair, Gloria “La Gloriosa” Bravo (4-5) of Santiago, Chile will battle Jade Jorand (0-1) of Bordeaux, France.

Fighting out of Chicago, Ill., Enrique “Baby Bull” Gonzalez (8-4) will make his return to Combate Global action in a lightweight (155 pounds) tilt with Jean Marc “Kokito” Howell (13-6) of Noord, Aruba.

Sergio Sosa (1-1) of Venezuela via Miami, Fla. will meet Sam Kilmer (0-0) of Albuquerque, N.M. at lightweight.

Joziro Boye (17-6-1) of Madiki, Oranjestad, Aruba will duke it out with Majdeddine Ayadi (10-3) of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. at lightweight.
