Meghan Markle Ignores Her Father After He Sends Her Flowers For Her 40th Birthday

Meghan Markle celebrated her 40th birthday last week, and to mark the occasion, her estranged father Thomas Markle sent her flowers. Unfortunately for him, however, Meghan did not respond.

Thomas Sends Meghan Flowers

Thomas told TMZ that he sent Meghan flowers along with a card that read, “Wishing you a happy birthday and brighter days.” The flower bouquet included a dozen red roses with 2 yellow roses, each one representing Meghan and her husband Prince Harry’s two children Archie and Lilibet.

Thomas explained that he decided to incorporate Archie and Lilibet because he is desperate to be part of their lives, as he feels that they don’t have enough family near them at their home in Montecito, California.

While Thomas said that Meghan did not respond after he sent the flowers, he also said that he is fine with that, and that he just hopes that she enjoyed them.

Thomas And Meghan’s Estrangement

Meghan and Thomas have been estranged since just before her 2018 wedding to Harry. Their estrangement stems from Thomas staging paparazzi photos in the lead-up to the wedding, then lying to Meghan about doing so.

In Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, Meghan said she could not bring herself to forgive this “betrayal” from her father.

“I look at Archie, I think about this child and I genuinely can’t imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child,” she said. “I can’t imagine it, so it’s hard for me to reconcile that.”

Thomas To Take Meghan To Court

Thomas told Fox News last month that he is planning to take Meghan to court to petition to see his grandchildren.

“We shouldn’t be punishing [Lili] for Meghan and Harry’s bad behavior,” he said. “Archie and Lili are small children. They’re not politics. They’re not pawns. They’re not part of the game. And they’re also royal and entitled to the same rights as any other royal.”

“… I will be petitioning the California courts for the rights to see my grandchildren in the very near future,” Thomas added.

Thomas Blasts Harry

Thomas went on to blast Harry for announcing plans to write a memoir that will be coming out late next year.

“Harry doesn’t have too much more to tell,” he said. “After three sessions with the psychiatrists and Oprah Winfrey, I don’t know what more is there to tell.”

Thomas has repeatedly criticized Meghan and Harry over the past few years.

Clearly, it is going to take a lot more than flowers to heal the relationship between Thomas Markle and Meghan.
