The planned women’s bantamweight title match between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena has a new date.
Originally scheduled for UFC 265 in August, Nunes will now defend her title on December 11 at UFC 269.
The location for that card has yet to be made, and it is unknown if the bout will serve as the main event or co-main event.
Nunes, who is also the women’s featherweight champion, was forced out of the August fight due to COVID-19. The Brazilian and her family tested positive.
Unbeaten in her last 12 fights, Nunes last defended the bantamweight belt in 2019. She bested Germaine de Randamie at UFC 245 that year by decision.
Pena has worked her way up the ladder. The former Ultimate Fighter winner knocked off Sara McMann, Cat Zingano and Jessica Eye during her run, sitting at 10-4 overall.
