According to a report by ESPN, the planned third meeting between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder is in jeopardy.
A COVID-19 outbreak in the camp of Fury will likely force the bout to be delayed until later in the year.
In the report, sources stated that it could take place in September instead of the planned July 24 date due to Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence Jr. set for August 21.
Fury vs. Wilder is scheduled for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
The first meeting between the two heavyweights ended in a draw that many felt should have went to Fury. In the rematch, the “Gypsy King” left no doubt, finishing Wilder in the seventh round.
Neither have competed since that second encounter.
Fury holds a career record of 30-0-1 with 21 wins by knockout while Wilder is 42-1-1 with 41 career knockouts.
