Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov might be the best source of information when it comes to predicting the upcoming Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier bout.
The two will square off in the main event of UFC 264 live on July 10 for a third time. Both hold a win over the other, with Poirier getting the better of McGregor earlier this year.
As far as Nurmagomedov is concerned, “Notorious” has his best chance to score the win early on in the fight.
“Once again, same thing here,” Nurmagomedov told UFC Russia. “The first round is for Conor, he can take it. If he doesn’t, then Dustin wins.”
When they met in January, it was McGregor dominating the opening five minutes before “The Diamond” turned things around the finished him.
Nurmagomedov holds wins over both McGregor and Poirier.
