‘Jeopardy!’ Guest Host Aaron Rodgers Has Perfect Response To Failed Clue About Green Bay Packers

Over the past week, fans have gotten to see a very different side of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He’s the current guest host on “Jeopardy!”

On Tuesday night’s episode, one of the funniest moments on the show happened when the contestants were stumped by a Packers clue, and Rodgers had a hilariously perfect response.

Rodgers’ Hilarious ‘Jeopardy!’ Moment

The second clue of the game was, “In the 1960s these midwesterners earned 5 NFL Championship trophies.”

Once Rodgers was finished reading the clue, he was visibly stunned when none of the contestants even tried to guess.

“Green Bay Packers!” Rodgers said in exasperation after the contestants had run out of time. He threw out his arms in mock-frustration, making the moment even funnier.

Things got even better in the next clue, when one contestant was able to answer correctly about another sports team.

“Oh, you know that one,” Rodgers said jokingly, prompting laughter from the audience.

Fans Respond To Rodgers

Fans at home were loving the moment and it’s clear that Rodgers is enjoying his time on “Jeopardy!’

Rodgers ‘Would Love’ To Host ‘Jeopardy’ Permanently

Sadly, fans will only have a few more days enjoying Rodgers on “Jeopardy!” His guest hosting stint is set to come to an end after Friday’s episode.

However, Rodgers has made it clear that he would love to become the permanent host of “Jeopardy!” if he was asked to do so.

“I would love to be the host of ‘Jeopardy!,’ yes,” Rodgers recently said while appearing on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio show “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Rodgers even said that he cleaned up his personal appearance for the guest hosting gig. He’d been growing out his hair and beard in quarantine over the past year.

“I decided to kinda clean that up a little bit,” he said. “There was conversation. I think there was a lot of people that wanted me to kind of shave to the skin…”

‘I don’t do that a whole lot, but if that was a prereq to get the full time gig, no problem with it at all, no problem with it at all,” Rodgers added.

Executive Producer Speaks Out

Earlier this week, “Jeopardy!” executive producer Mike Richards said that after filming the episodes with Rodgers as host in February, Rodgers told him outright that he’d be interested in hosting the show permanently.

“It’s the ultimate compliment to Alex [Trebek] and to the franchise that Aaron is that forward with his thoughts, and so complimentary of the show,” Richards said, according to Yahoo News. “What I find fascinating about Aaron…is his second career could be better than his first.”

One thing is for sure, many “Jeopardy!” fans would love to see Rodgers get this job!

We wouldn’t be surprised at all if we see him back on “Jeopardy!” hosting it again very soon.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
