Archbishop of Canterbury Offers Proof That Meghan And Harry’s Secret Wedding Claim Was A Lie

Meghan Markle has gotten another blow to the credibility of her interview with Oprah Winfrey. The Archbishop of Canterbury has completely refuted her and Prince Harry’s claims that he married the Royal couple in a secret ceremony three days before their public wedding. 

Markle claimed the pair wanted an intimate wedding prior to having the eyes of the world upon them.

She stated the Archbishop performed this private ceremony in the garden of their home at the time.

Archbishop Of Canterbury Dispels Notion Of Secret Wedding

“Three days before our wedding, we got married — no one knows that,” Markle told Oprah. “We called the archbishop and we just said look, this thing, this spectacle is for the world but we want our union between us.”

She added that it was “just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury.”

Harry corrected her by saying it was “just the three of us.”

The Clerk who drew up the couple’s special marriage license first disagreed with Meghan and Harry’s claims.

He even showed the license which states their official wedding date. Now someone with even more authority is taking a swing at the validity of this claim.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby says it’s not true. As the religious figurehead of the Church of England, he should know and his word is to be trusted. 

“The legal wedding was on the Saturday,” Archbishop Welby told Italian newspaper La Repubblica.

“I signed the wedding certificate, which is a legal document, and I would have committed a serious criminal offence if I signed it knowing it was false,” he continued. 

Piers Morgan Tweets Snarky Quip

Piers Morgan, who stepped down from “Good Morning Britain” after being accused of racism for refusing to believe Markle’s allegations against the Royal Family made a tongue and cheek remark.

He tweeted that the Archbishop should either apologize to the Duchess of Sussex for refusing to believe her or he should resign.

People have lost their jobs for speaking out about the interview. Now, we know at least some of it was a lie.

Meghan and Harry have also conceded that they lied to Oprah about this topic. They were not married prior to their big wedding day.

Why would like lie about something that is so easy to prove? What else were they fabricating?
