Alexander Volkov dominated Alistair Overeem and scored a main event victory Saturday night at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Volkov.

Through the first round, Volkov was a machine, picking Overeem apart. He finished him in the second, leaving the former title contender a bloody mess.

In the co-main event, Cory Sandhagen delivered, knocking out former champion Frankie Edgar. Sandhagen connected on a flying knee just 28 seconds into their bantamweight bout, ending the fight.

The 28-year-old Sandhagen improved to 14-2 with the win, his biggest to date.

Edgar is on the opposite side of that having dropped three of his last four. Two of those have come in the first round now around a split decision win over Pedro Munhoz.

Clay Guida bested Michael Johnson in a featured contest, earning a sweep of the three scorecards.

Alexandre Pantoja, Beneil Dariush and Danilo Marques added wins on the main card with Devonte Smith, Karol Rosa, Lara Procopio, Seung Woo Choi, Timur Valiev and Ode Osbourne picking up prelim wins.

The card aired entirely on ESPN+ from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
