UFC’s Network Debut Set With Max Holloway-Calvin Kattar

Everything is now official for the UFC’s debut on ABC with Max Holloway and Calvin Kattar headlining the card.

Holloway and Kattar will meet on Saturday, January 16 from “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi. The main card will air live on ABC beginning at 3 p.m. ET.

Along with being broadcast on ABC, both the prelims and main card will stream live on ESPN+.

Holloway, a former UFC champion, and Kattar meet in a five-round bout. Other planned fights include Matt Brown vs. Carlos Condit, Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Li Jingliang and Omari Akhmedov vs. Tom Breese.

This is all coming together thanks to the UFC’s deal with ESPN, which is owned by the same company that owns ABC. It marks the first event on broadcast television since December 2018 when the UFC aired on FOX.
