Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno are all set to compete in the fastest, turn-around title fight in UFC history tomorrow, as both men made weight today for UFC 256.
Figueiredo versus Moreno
Both Figueiredo and Moreno are coming off wins at UFC 255 last month, which went down on November 2st. The flyweight champ Figueiredo quickly submitted Alex Perez, and Moreno stopped Brandon Royval.
When bantamweight champ Petr Yan was forced to withdraw from a scheduled fight with Aljamain Sterling, Figueiredo and Moreno agreed to step up. In doing so, they are setting a record for the fastest, turn-around title fight: 21 days.
The champ came in at 124.5 pounds for Saturday’s headliner, as did Moreno.
