UFC Vegas 15 will no longer feature a pivotal heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and Curtis Blaydes, as it’s being reported that the latter’s tested positive for COVID-19.

Blaydes tests positive for COVID-19

One day out from Saturday’s event, and as the fighters hit the scales, ESPN recently reported that the 29-year-old Blaydes has tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, he’s been pulled from the event, and his bout with the 35 year-old Lewis has been postponed.

Hopefully Blaydes doesn’t incur serious symptoms and has a quick and full recovery.

Although it hasn’t been announced yet by the UFC, one would think that the light heavyweight fight between Anthony Smith and Devin Clark will now headline.
