NBA Announcer Fired For Saying ‘All Lives Matter’ Replaced By ESPN Alum Who Bashes Police And White People

Earlier this year, the Sacramento Kings fired seasoned NBA announcer Grant Napear for tweeting “all lives matter.” Now, the NBA team is replacing him with former ESPN broadcaster Mark Jones who not only called President Donald Trump a “white supremacist terrorist” but also exhibits anti-police and racist sentiments on his social media.

Kings Fire NBA Announcer Grant Napear For ‘All Lives Matter’ Tweet

Longtime announcer and shock jock Grant Napear, who had been with the Kings since 1988, was forced to resign back in June after he dared to say “all lives matter.”

“I had no idea that when I said ‘All Lives Matter’ that it was counter to what BLM was trying to get across,” he said at the time, according to ESPN.

Unfortunately, this was not enough to save Napear, and he lost his job.

Now, the Kings have announced that Napear is being replaced with ESPN and ABC Sports broadcaster Mark Jones.

“We are delighted to welcome Mark to the Kings family and watch him partner with Doug to form a new, dynamic broadcast team for the franchise and its proud fans,” Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé said in a statement.

Kings Hire ESPN Alum Mark Jones To Replace NBA Announcer Grant Napear

There’s just one problem: Jones appears to be both radical and hateful. Two things we were led to believe the Kings stood against.

Some light research into the newly hired NBA announcer revealed some troubling details.

Jones’ social media accounts paint him as a shameless online provocateur who hates the police and conservatives.

He even once laughed at an injured NFL player simply because the athlete openly supports Trump.

In September, Jones took to Twitter to claim that police are “racist” and that they pose a danger to black people.

“Saturday at my football game I’ll tell the police officer on duty to ‘protect’ me he can just take the day off. Fr. I’d rather not have the officer shoot me because he feared for his life because of my black skin or other dumb ish. I’m not signing my own death certificate,” he tweeted.

“Police never saved me. Never helped me. Never protected me. Never taken a bullet for me. (They’ve pulled guns on me) Never kept me safe in a protest,” Jones tweeted the day before that.

“Never stopped the racist from taking my Black Lives Matter flag off my house. I could do without em. fr.”

Also in September, the newly hired NBA announcer shared a quote that suggested that all white people are racist.

Finally, Jones retweeted a post accusing Trump of being a “white supremacist terrorist.”

The Hypocrisy Is Staggering

The tale of these two NBA announcers speaks volumes.

In the eyes of the Sacramento Kings, it seems saying “all lives matter” is a fireable offense. Yet shaming police, white people, and the president is totally acceptable.

The hypocrisy of the modern left never ceases to amaze.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
