Candace Cameron Bure ‘Can’t Wait’ To Become A ‘Hot Grandma’!

Millions of fans watched Candace Cameron Bure grow up as D.J. Tanner on the beloved sitcom “Full House” in the late 1980s and 1990s. That’s why it’s come as a surprise to many this week when Hallmark darling Candace Cameron Bure spoke out to say that she is looking forward to becoming a “hot grandma!”

Of course, Bure will in no way be your average “grandma”. The Hallmark star posts regular workout videos on social media.

Hallmark Star Candace Cameron Bure Excited About Her Son’s Engagement

While none of Bure’s children are expecting a baby right now, her 20-year-old son Lev recently got engaged to his girlfriend, Taylor Hutchison.

The couple may only have been engaged for a few weeks, but that doesn’t mean Bure doesn’t already have grandchildren on the brain. 

“We will love them unconditionally,” Bure, 44, told US Weekly, referring to Lev and his fiancé. “We will want to be a part of [their] lives, want to be a part of the grandkids’ lives. I don’t want to do anything to rock the boat. I just want to be there to support.”

Bure, who has been married to her former professional hockey player husband Valeri Bure for 24 years, added that not only is she hoping to be “the best mother-in-law in town,” but she’s also excited to “be the hot grandma.”

“It is so exciting to me,” she explained. “I can’t wait until the day I do become a grandma, whether that’s a few years or five years or 10, whatever, I love children.”

Candace Cameron Bure’s Marriage Advice

After being married to her husband for nearly a quarter of a century, Bure said that they have given their son “so much advice” about marriage.

She added, “It’s always a journey. I think that’s what we will tell him. And obviously communication is key.”

The devoutly Christian actress went on to say that her son should always treat his future wife with “so much respect and love and kindness.” She noted that “usually in return, your spouse is going to do the same.”

Bure’s excitement about her son’s engagement was palpable when she announced it to the world in August in an Instagram post.

“She said YES,” she wrote in the caption. “Last night my son @levvbure proposed to his beautiful girlfriend We are SO excited for these cuties!!! #Engaged! And this mama/mama-in-love can’t wait for wedding planning shenanigans.”

She Gives Back Through The Salvation Army

When Bure isn’t focused on her family and her acting career, she devotes much of her time to giving back to the community by helping out with the Salvation Army.

“They do so much good work throughout the year and this year because of the pandemic and COVID, things are different,” she said of the charity.

“Because we’re not out as much, they are gonna suffer. So we’re asking everyone to go to rescuechristmas.org and donate there or drop a few dollars in when you do see the red kettle.”

It often seems like so many child stars end up going down the wrong path in life. We’re glad to see that this fate did not befall Bure, and that she grew into such an incredible giving and loving woman.

In fact, she’s starring in Hallmark’s If I Only Had Christmas premiering November 29.
