Flashback: James Woods Leads Celebrities In Bashing Governor Newsom’s Ultra Strict Thanksgiving Mandate

James Woods and other fed-up Hollywood celebrities are firing back at California Governor Gavin Newsom after he issued a series of strict new coronavirus guidelines ahead of Thanksgiving.

Fox News reported that Newsom’s new guidelines define gatherings as “social situations that bring together people from different households at the same time in a single space or place.”

So in California, anyone hosting a gathering over the Thanksgiving holiday must limit it to no more than three households for a duration of no more than three hours.

Gov. Newsom also asks hosts to hold the gatherings outdoors, and to make sure guests frequently use sanitizer and wash their hands while also wearing masks at all times.

On top of that, he told California residents to avoid singing, chanting, and shouting.

James Woods Offers Workaround For Governor Newsom’s Order

Woods, however, was not impressed with Newsom’s Thanksgiving mandate.

So the Academy Award winner fired back with his answer to the extreme restriction.

“Just make a few signs protesting Trump,” he tweeted. “Then invite as many people as you want, and you’ll have no problem.”

Of course, Woods was eluding to the fact that Newsom and many of his fellow Democratic leaders have thrown their strict COVID-19 guidelines out the window when it comes to protests by Black Lives Matter and other radical leftwing groups.

California Governor Newsom would likely have no problem with a large gathering, as long as it was a protest against Trump!

Pushback has been pouring in from other celebrities as well.

Chuck Woolery, Cody Wolfe And More Chime In On Thanksgiving Guidelines

One of the more popular tweets came from former game show host Chuck Woolery, who tweeted that Newsom has “gone bonkers.”

Once again making it clear the one-time “Lingo” and “Love Connection” is no fan of Democrat policies.

“Oh and as by legal right of the US constitution I’m not wearing a mask as I deem it to be unlawful and unconstitutional,” country singer Cody Wolfe tweeted mockingly before addressing Newsom directly.

“You should be impeached for committing treason.”

Hollywood star Nick Searcy of “Justified” fame defiantly stated would ignore Newsom’s rules and hold Thanksgiving as he normally does.

“We are having Thanksgiving at my house with a lot of people and @gavinnewsom can kiss my a** and bark at the hole,” he tweeted.

More Celebrities Join James Woods To Rail Newsom’s Thanksgiving Mandate

Former “Family Ties” actress Justine Bateman pointed out that Newsom doesn’t even have the power to enforce these guidelines.

“Gavin Newsom, LOFL. No one is listening to you anymore. You have lost your mind,” she tweeted.

The final word comes from Jimmy Kimmel’s former co-host on “The Man Show”.

Comedian and talk show host Adam Carolla asked, “How many of you sheep are going along with Newsom’s Thanksgiving protocols?”

Sheep indeed.

Given how radically liberal Hollywood, there probably will be plenty of leftwing entertainers who go the “sheep” route and follow all of Newsom’s protocols to a tee.

Much of the rest of California, however, likely feels the exact same way that James Woods and these other celebrities.

They love their families and they’re about to let Democrats or this pandemic ruin their Thanksgiving too. They’ve taken enough from us.
