Cris ‘Cyborg’ made weight for her first fight as Bellator’s featherweight champ earlier today, and she had a respectful, but intense faceoff with challenger Arlene Blencowe.
‘Cyborg’ (22-2) will be fighting for the first time since January, when she took the featherweight crown from Julia Budd, via a fourth-round stoppage.
Blencowe (13-7), who also has some pro-boxing bouts on her record, is riding a three-fight winning streak. In her last outing, which took place in November, she recorded a decision win over UFC veteran Leslie Smith.
