A chilling dashcam video of road rage on steroids is going viral that shows the moment a driver in Florida shoots a gun through his own windshield at another motorist on the highway after that car “flashed a gun at him first.”
Marco Mazzetta, the driver who fired the shots through his windshield in Orlando, posted the video on YouTube.
He calls the incident self defense. Mazzetta said he was afraid the other motorist was going to shoot him after the other car’s driver flashed a gun out their window.
But not everyone takes kindly to him opening fire on the highway:
Daily Mail reported that Mazzetta was driving on a highway in Orange County near Orlando when he claims another driver pointed a gun at him.
In the intense dashcam footage, the other driver can be seen driving aggressively. He also gets uncomfortably close to Mazzetta’s truck at one point.
Mazzetta proceeded to slam on his breaks causing the other vehicle to bump into the back of his truck before speeding around it.
Seconds later, the driver of the other car is seen pulling a gun out and pointing it directly at Mazzetta’s vehicle.

Fearing that his life was in danger, Mazzetta did not hesitate to pull out his own gun and shoots through his windshield at the man.
The passenger was not expecting Mazzetta to open fire inside the car and ducks for safety.
Take a look – there is some foul language in the video:
Footage of the ordeal has since gone viral, and Mazzetta has no regrets over what he did.
Mazzetta told WESH 2:
“I’m not a fan of guns; I’m a fan of not getting shot. I know this video doesn’t capture my smartest moments but I hope any idiot criminal with a gun watching thinks twice before loading, brandishing & aiming their firearm at someone over a traffic infraction.”
Mazzetta added that afterwards, he reported the incident to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
TMZ reported that it does not appear that Mazzetta has been arrested, but the Orange Country Sheriff’s office said that it is still investigating the incident.

The Florida Highway Patrol hopes that the dashcam video serves as a reminder of the dangers of arguing with other drivers on the road.
Florida Highway Patrol’s Kim Montes said:
“You don’t know the mindset of the other driver that you might get involved in some kind of situation. A lot of people carry weapons in their cars. This could have really escalated to somebody getting shot, somebody getting killed.”
Montes hit the nail on the head there. When you’re driving, you really don’t know what your fellow drivers are thinking. Nor do you know what they could have in their vehicles.
In the end, a petty road rage argument is not worth your life.
