Hollywood actresses Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano are locked in a heated battle on Twitter. This weekend sparked an epic Twitter throwdown where the two debated politics and questions of character, ultimately inspiring #AlyssaMilanoIsALie to trend.
The two actresses spent years starring together on the television show “Charmed” in the early 2000s, but there is certainly no love lost between the two these days.

Rose McGowan Attacks “Fraud” Democrats
It all started when McGowan took to Twitter on the final night of the Democratic National Convention. The “Scream” actress proceeded to blast both nominee Joe Biden and the entire Democratic Party as a whole.
“What have the Democrats done to solve ANYTHING?” McGowan questioned. “Help the poor? No. Help Black & Brown people? No. Stop police brutality? No. Help single mothers? No. Help children? No. You have achieved nothing. NOTHING. Why did people vote Trump? Because of you motherf—–s.”

Alyssa Milano Defends Democrats
Questioning the Democratic Party is an unforgivable offense in the eyes of Milano. The “Who’s The Boss” Child star has become something of a lapdog for the left in recent years.
So of course Alyssa Milano, an outspoken Biden supporter, felt compelled to “fact check” Rose McGowan. She did so in a 26-tweet long tirade which she describes as a list of the Democratic Party’s greatest accomplishments over the years.

“Rose and anyone bleating the same ‘dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe’ nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you,” Milano concluded at the end of her thread.
“It’s the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do. Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention seeking tweets.”

Rose McGowan Smacks Down Alyssa Milano As “Toxic”
46-year-old McGowan, however, was not having any of it.
McGowan proceeded to obliterate her former costar for “stealing” the #MeToo movement from her. Before also exposing what she described as Alyssa Milano’s “toxic” behavior on the set of “Charmed”.
“1) You stole #metoo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana. You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist. You made 250k per week on Charmed. You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this s—!’ Appalling behavior on the daily. I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF. Now, get off my coattails you f—ing fraud.”

Milano became the face of the #MeToo movement despite not accusing any powerful men in Hollywood of sexually assaulting her.
This came after McGowan helped to launch the movement by bravely coming forward to accuse Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein of raping her in the 1990s. McGowan was one of the early and most vocal of Weisntein’s accusers.
Despite the fact that Milano clearly put a ton of effort into her 26-tweets-long defense of Democrats, it was McGowan’s smack down of her that really took off on Twitter.
Soon after, the hashtag “#AlyssaMilanoIsALie” started trending. The trend spread like wildfire across social media.
