Dallas Cowboys VP Refuses To Join NFL Commissioner In Supporting Kaepernick

Dallas Cowboys VP Stephen Jones is taking a stand against players kneeling for the National Anthem. He refuses to join League Commissioner Roger Goodell in backing Colin Kaepernick.

Earlier this week, we reported that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was expressing remorse about not listening to Colin Kaepernick sooner when it came to his National Anthem protests.

While Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has tried to achieve a compromise that allows protest but requires standing for the anthem, his son and EVP has taken a stronger stance.

Goodell Expresses Support For Kaepernick

“I wish we had listened earlier, Kaep, to what you were kneeling about and what you were trying to bring attention to,” Goodell told former NFL player Emmanuel Acho while appearing on his YouTube series “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man” on Sunday.

“What our players are doing is being mischaracterized,” Goodell added. “What they were trying to do is exercise their right to bring attention to something that needs to get fixed. That misrepresentation of who they were and what they were doing was the thing that really gnawed at me.”

Cowboys VP Refuses To Support Goodell

On Thursday, Jones was asked in an interview whether he agreed with Goodell’s statement.

It was clear that the question was meant to bait the executive vice president of the Cowboys into submitting to the radical left just like Goodell did. But, he refused to play ball with his response.

“I’m not going to comment on that at this point. Obviously everybody, I have respect for what everybody has to say about any of these situations. Everybody has their own way of getting their hands around it. It’s obviously a big challenge.

As I said, every organization, every office, every place looks at it a little different, including whether you’re the NFL or you’re an individual club, everybody has their views on different things. So, certainly have respect for everybody’s opinions and views, but probably as far as I’d go with that.”

This statement would not seem like such a major act of rebellion if virtually every team in the NFL was not catering to the radical left and their anthem kneeling protests as if it was their jobs.

In fact, the Cowboys appear to be the only NFL team that is even slightly taking a stand for the National Anthem and for the American flag these days.

Jerry Jones Defends Flag As Well

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, has previously insisted that his players stand for the anthem.

This week, it was reported that he was looking for a compromise that might involve players taking a knee before the anthem, only to stand during it, as they did in Arizona before a game in 2017.

Based on his son’s comments, it looks like the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

The Cowboys are sure to face major pressure from the left to submit to their anti-American ways, but we hope that they continue to stay strong. Our flag needs people like the Cowboys defending it now more than ever.
