The fighters have hit the scales in advance of UFC Fight Island 2 tomorrow, and all of the bouts are official including the main event.
Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo are fighting for the second time in the headliner, and this time around, the latter made weight. The flyweights were booked to fight for the vacant flyweight title in February, but Figueiredo missed weight for the bout.
The Brazilian fighter ended up stopping Benavidez in round two, but because he came in heavy for the fight, he didn’t win the belt. An accidental headbutt that occurred prior to the fight’s stoppage, also heightened calls for a rematch.
Figueiredo came in at 125 pounds for Saturday’s contest, as did Benavidez.
